'Unhealed Wounds' is a photographic project that centers around the search for the recognition of Paul Paques as a political prisoner, who was arrested in Sint-Truiden during the Nazi raid of May 25, 1943 and taken to Fort Breendonk. After three months of unjust imprisonment, Paul was released. Since then, he has fought for political prisoner status, but to date there has been no fair recognition. The project highlights this struggle for recognition and the lack of justice, even 80 years after the events and the unresolved wounds it still leaves for the relatives.
'Never war again.'
